Before the palm trees arrive to their precise site, your contractor will have to dig the holes. These holes should be dug roughly twice the diameter of the root ball. This will provide space to the backfill. The dug will not need to be dug any deeper depsite needing room around its sides. Sometimes a required measure goes to 3x3x3 root ball for an easy digging and uniform transplant.
